My first Day at School

My first day at school was really an exciting and amusing day to me. It was also a new experience to me. One day, when I was six years old, I got myself admitted into the school. On the first day, I was taken to school by my eldest sister who was a student of class ten at that time. After about half an hour my father came and took me to the Headmaster’s room and talked about my admission. He was a middle aged gentle and good looking man. He asked me few questions. I answered as gently as I could. The Headmaster was a friend of my farther. He took me to the class and told my father to do the official formalities concerning my admission. When I entered into the class I was really afraid. There were about 60 students in the class but all of them were unknown to me. I felt nervous. But the nervousness was removed gradually. The students of my class were very good and friendly. Whenever I remember the day I feel thrilled.

C1:  Notice the use of punctuation marks in the poem. Why are the exclamation marks (!), the question marks (?), and the full stops (.) used in these places?

Answer:

In the second sentence exclamatory mark is used to express joy. In the fourth sentence full stop is used to express its completion. In the sixth sentence question or interrogative. Question or interrogative mark is also used to show a question or an interrogation in the seventh sentence. In the eighth sentences full-stop is used to show its completion. In fact, very punctuation mark is logically used in the poem.
